K-5 1st Semester Lessons

Grades K-5 will be doing activities on Growing Course in class. Growing Course is a fun interactive web page that teaches the students about computers and technology. Feel free to take a look at the website. http://growing.course.com/index.html

K-1- Will learn how to use the computer, type and will play interactive games. They will also be using a program called Teach Your Monster How to Read. http://www.teachyourmonstertoread.com/

This program teaches the students phonics and how to read in a fun way.

2-3- Will use Starfall for Reading, Writing, Language Arts and Technology.

Moby Max will be used for Math on the the computer.

Assignments- 15-30 minutes of Starfall and Mobymax per night. 
Second and third grade students will learn how to use the internet and will research a famous person in history. Second grader students will write a 2 page report about that person.
Third grade students will research and compose a 2-3 page paper in Word. 

4-5- Will be using Raz Kids for reading and Study Island for Math, Science and Social Studies.

Assignments-15-30 minutes of Raz Kids and Study Island per night.
Fourth grade students will learn how to use PowerPoint. During Genius Hour the student will choose a person, place or thing that they would like to research. The final assignment will be a PowerPoint presentation on that subject.
Fifth grade students will create a blog about their favorite sport or hobby. The blog must have at least 4 post, 2 pictures and an area for comments.
